I have NO intention of ever selling this flute or trying to pass it off as genuine. This purchase was a risk, and I knew that. If you are a serious flutist, save your money and buy a quality instrument. I have not checked it with a tuner yet, but plan on doing that later today.Įven though I like it so far, I do NOT recommend going out and buying a counterfeit flute. It needs a couple small adjustments with a screw driver, but no serious issues. After unboxing it and playing on it, I’m very impressed! It’s easy to play very high, the mechanism is very light and smooth. I ordered it 3/28, and it was delivered to me today, 5/3. I wanted something a little nicer but without spending a ton since flute is not my main focus. I have been playing a Gemeinhardt 2NP that I bought at a pawn shop when I was in high school. Most of what I play is alt/experimental type stuff. I’m not a flutist, I am a multi instrumentalist who has some projects involving flute coming up this summer. I was not looking for a long term professional instrument or anything. I knew the risk I was getting into, buying a flute, unseen, unplayed, from over seas for $165 USD. About a month ago, I decided to impulse buy a counterfeit Muramatsu flute from China. At first I forgot that I had even ordered it. Today I had a packaged delivered by the mail man.
